Holly & Conor’s wedding at the enchanting Markree Castle, Sligo, was nothing short of magical – the kind that every girl dreams of!
On the most beautiful August day, they exchanged vows in an outdoor hand-tying ceremony with the sun beaming down on them. The Sligo String Trio serenaded their guests as their sweet daughter Robyn shared a heartfelt pre-recorded message before the ceremony began; a beautiful way to incorporate her into the ceremony. Their love story, which started with months of playful persistence back and forth before a simple coffee date sealed their fate, shone through at every moment of this personal and heartfelt day.
The entire celebration was a perfect blend of elegance and joy from morning preparations right through to dancing. Prior to the ceremony, Conor and his groomsmen raised a Guinness toast in the Billiard Suite — with Conor stepping behind the bar to pour the perfect pint! Whilst Holly and her bridesmaids prepared in a dedicated suite inside Markaree.
Holly looked absolutely breathtaking, in a classic princess style gown and tiered veil – she truly was picture perfect, elegant and sophisticated.
Following a glorious outdoor drinks reception in the sun complete with a prosecco tower, the couple’s guests were treated to speeches on the castle stairs that offered laughter, tears, and a true glimpse into Holly and Conor’s partnership — two people who are not only soulmates but also each other’s biggest cheerleaders. The pride from their families was palpable, with Holly’s father sharing his admiration for her and her mother lovingly describing her as her anchor.
